Notes From Around the Arena
July 2nd -8th, 2012
The Saddle Fitters where here and they were amazing. And I need to say that we really need to get saddles that fit! If you missed it please talk to Linda, Clair or Maddy they had adjustment made to their saddles, and see what they have to say.
The Pot Luck on Saturday was really nice, thank you all. We had pasta's, pesto's, slaws, salads, fruits and homemade mozzarella cheese with tomatoes. Sparkling cider gave us that celebration feel.
The Skyline show turned out to be in error. It's next weekend! So we had an offsite lesson and really had a great time. Met some really neat people. And we even got Abby, Jody and Nancy to ride for a bit around the arena. They even explored with the trot. Super job guys. Fingers crossed, we may see their names on the upcoming lesson schedule.
The Beach Ride was faboulous! The weather was perfect, the ponies were perfect and the riders amazing, and had so much fun. Katrina and Sierra did some galloping and Katrina was even able to talk Sierra into the surf. Cowboy and Maddy had their first enjoyable and comfotable ride and even managed to expand to the next speed. Even Zen cantered a bit. It was really exciting to be witnes to Zen's first beach ride who was nicely paired with Habib, also his first horse beach experience. I believe they would both be willing to do it all again.
