Notes From Around the Arena
May 21st-28th
Lots of excitement this week:
Our team relay gymkhana classes were tons of fun: Marilyn and Mabel and Luna, did a great job remembering patterns and did some nice trotting and impromptu cantering which was very smooth and organized. Nice job girls. Alex and Olivia did a great job on the Big T pattern and added the trot to their steering. Really great job you two. On Wednesday and Thursday the intermediate/advanced group had the relay race. Wednesday: Team Shooting Stars: Clair and Luna beat Team Twinkle Fairies: Maddy and Katia 41.9 to 45.7 and on Thursday: Team Twinkle Fairies: Maddy and Katia beat Team Red Hot Cowgirls Judy and Chloee 33.9 to 35.6 Thanks you guys, I had so much fun.
We rode the gymkhana at Clements this weekend and wow what a great team we have.
We welcomed Sally and Linus to the Gymkhana team and they had done their homework. Linus was so brave and followed directions in all that chaos. He seemed to enjoy all the attention. Sally was confident and very pleasing to watch, and you really could not tell she had a few pre-show jitters. They even won Reserve High Point for the FC Division, on Saturday. Congratulations Sally and Linus.
Tara and Zen are well on the way, building their house of brick. Tara, aware of the detail in her foundation as she began her progression in extending Zen's stride, pulled solidly into the FC Division top ten. Reach for the stars Tara, you will find you can shine just as bright.
Clair and Rocky, I don't even have words to describe Rocky's amazing turn around. He was so very brave, and was even cantering and stopping. (A detail the rest of us take for granted.) They even won 4D money in the jack pot event. Their happiness together was radiant.
Which reminds me John Kresha and Radar (Radiant Girl) won the AA high point each of the three days. Sweet!
Stacy Kresha and Cooper had a rough Friday show but seemed to settle in nicely Saturday for the reserve high point win and Sunday ran an elegant and smokin' poles 1 course landing their very first AAA run. It helps him, that you ride well so well, with that and miles it just gets better and better.
