Notes From Around the Arena
May 28th - June 4th, 2012
WINNER, WINNER, WINNER
The MOB, from Gypsy Station was very well represented by our riders at the California Gymkhana Association Norther Classic Silver Dollar Show. This year held at Diamond Bar Arena in Ceres. Shane was a great host as he always is when ever we visit his facility. There were only about 80 riders this year. Our MOB rode the FC Division boosting the count to 19 riders for that division.
It was a great weekend with wildly wonderful weather. Jan and Jody kept up on the stats. And the Ice chest was overflowing with great snacks and drinks. Paul and Rosie were rail side to cheer for our riders. Paul also spent a great deal of time with Zen for her exercises in self reliance and coping with separation anxiety. We even had a special treat when Caroline and Dillon made a visit.
Maddy and Cowboy turned in some of their best rides ever smooth as silk and to Maddy's delight Cowboy did not even buck once during the 4 days of competition. Maddy won a nice handful of ribbons and even won $5.00 in Gold Dollar Coins. Maddy finished 9th over all.
Clair and Rocky also had an amazing show. Rocky was really good and the couple spook and melt downs were justified. Clair rode Rocky to a fifth place finish over all. Winning $20.00 in Gold Dollar Coins. And collected $28.00 in Jack Pot wins.
Sally and Linus really pulled together nicely. Sally stayed true to her goal of riding well. And Linus really had to step up. I could barely keep up with them. Sally came home with $15.00 in Gold Dollar Coins and a bushel of ribbons. Sally ended up some 28 points ahead of the pack landing the High Point Win for a little golden treasure chest filled with $250.00 in Gold Dollar Coins.
I am very proud of our winning team, and so impressed by their sportsmanship and support of one another in their personal accomplishments. I am excited and grateful to be part of this team.
