Notes From Around the Arena
Sept 10th - 16th, 2012
We had lessons on Saturday.
What a great day. Uma and Natalie and Katia, came for the whole day, they rode, cleaned tack, and bathed horses. Nice job guys.
The show riders had their show prep work out, Clair and Rocky, Maddy and Cowboy, Katrina had her hands full working and bathing both Zen and Tikkun for the show.
Katia and Sierra, Sally and Linus joined in for the lesson fun. Finishing out with some fancy cantering and flying lead changes.
Sunday was the final Skyline show of the season.
We did pretty well, there was a big turn out.
The open and championship classes had 12 - 19 horses. The Novice class had 9. Age division classes had i think 9 also.
Me and Jan had Luna as the riders groom and handler. She was a busy little helper the whole day. I mean 6:00 am until 7:00pm. Great job Luna.
Clair and Rocky, as if he had not just had two weeks off, pulled 2nd in most of the classes, even the championships.
Katrina and Zen where in the line up time after time even though Zen may have been a bit tired.
Tikkun at his debut with our group was a perfect professional. Placing a 4th, 5th, and reserve. In the three classes.
Maddy rode Cowboy western and placed consistently and even gave the lope classes a go. Cowboy did a good job at the jog for sure, and at the lope mostly because Maddy rode him well and helped him along.
Very nice job guys. It's not always easy, but wow we had fun.
